Without mentioning the names of leaders or social organizations, President Guillermo Lasso pointed out that his government “is not painted on the wall” and will not do what “they want, but what is convenient for the Ecuadorian people.”
His expression came as a result of the fact that in the last hours, the Unitary Front of Workers (FUT) and the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) are preparing mobilizations to demand the repeal of three executive decrees that establish the prices of fuels by a band system.
Indigenous movement gave President Guillermo Lasso until August 10 to respond to their requests.
