The president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso , returned to Quito this Friday, July 2, 2021, after undergoing a “medium complexity” spinal cord operation in a Miami clinic , which was successful, and after a recovery period that must be completed in the country.
This was reported by the General Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency , after specifying that the head of state will resume his public agenda next Monday.
“The president is following all the recommendations of the doctors and will continue with the physical rehabilitation that will allow him to improve his mobility after the surgery on June 23,” added the Secretariat in its statement.
