On Monday, the Social Commitment Movement for the Citizens’ Revolution publicly denounced what it described as permanent abuses and violations of human rights by Ecuadorian justice and police agencies against its leaders.
The political formation made the claims through a statement on social networks, under the hashtag #BastadePersecucion (EnoughPersecution).
In the text, members of the Citizens’ Revolution informed that over the weekend, the house of a union leader of Sucumbios province, Angel Sallo, was raided without due legal notification.
