“The Government of Ecuador announced it reached a preliminary agreement with Peru, for the purchase of 1,200 megawatts (MW) of electricity per hour every day, to mitigate the effects of the energy crisis in the country, that worsened last Thursday due to drought that affects Ecuadorian Paute hydropower plant, which reportedly has reduced its energy production to only 25% of its capacity.”
