President Lenín Moreno decreed a state of emergency in Ecuador. Through the national network, on the night of Monday, March 16, 2020, the president announced that it will take effect from 9:00 p.m. on March 17 and will last until 5:00 a.m. the following day, as a measure to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
“Neighborhood stores, markets and supermarkets will remain open. Likewise, banks, financial services, health centers and pharmacies will continue to operate normally. Hospitals and clinics will operate continuously. All digital home delivery platforms,” explained Moreno.
