Ecuador’s Ruling Party Chooses Lenin Moreno as Presidential Candidate – The Wall Street Journal

Ecuador’s ruling Alianza Pais party has selected former vice president Lenin Moreno as its candidate in next year’s election to succeed President Rafael Correa. Mr. Moreno, 63 years old, accepted the nomination during a party convention over the weekend alongside Mr. Correa, who is barred from running in February’s presidential election.
