Ecuador is currently preparing for being part of a Covid-19 pandemic immunization clinical trial project.
Within the framework of the Solidarity Vaccines program, led by the World Health Organization (WHO), the initiative in this country will include 20,000 volunteers.
According to Enrique Teran, research professor at the University of San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), the study would focus on this capital, although the city of Guayaquil, the first epicenter of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in this Andean nation, also chooses to be part of the project.
