Dow Jones – Ecuador: Jan Fiscal Surplus $564M Vs Surplus $142M Yr Earlier

Ecuador’s central government posted a fiscal surplus of $564 million in January, up from a surplus of $142 million in January 2009, the Central Bank said.

The Central Bank’s report said both current and capital revenue totaled $1.226 billion while total expenditures were $662 million. This compares with revenue of $757 million and spending of $615 million a year earlier.
