The Second Circuit panel on Wednesday upheld disbarred lawyer Steven Donziger’s conviction for disobeying court orders in civil litigation over a since-overturned $8.7 billion Ecuadorian pollution judgment against Chevron, saying federal judges have the power to appoint special prosecutors.
