Ex Former president Rafael Correa (2007-2017) continues to be an active voice in Ecuadorian politics, on calling President Lenin Moreno a traitor for implementing neoliberal measures. After 10 days of protests in the South American nation, Correa criticized the Moreno government, which he accuses of leading a coup and betrayal of the Citizens’ Revolution and democracy.
From his personal Twitter account, the former president called for early elections and criticized Moreno’s belated decision to offer dialogue as a way to end the demonstrations.
Correa often takes to Twitter to voice his commitment to the Ecuadorian people and the defense of the constitutional rights of the country.
