Buenos Aires, Oct 10 (Prensa Latina) The Communist Party of Argentina today expressed its solidarity with the Ecuadorian people, who took to the streets to demonstrate against neoliberal measures implemented by the Lenin Moreno government.
In a statement, the organization rejected the repression of demonstrators by Ecuadorian security forces, while expressing the hope that Ecuadorians will achieve the objectives for which they are fighting.
We demand an end to repression, the release of the prisoners arrested in the last few days, and of the legitimately elected vice president, Jorge Glas, who suffers a long and unjustified prison sentence, the text noted.
