CNN – Ecuadorian paper reacts to libel ruling with nearly-empty front page

El Universo reacts to the ruling:

There were no articles on the front page of Ecuador’s El Universo newspaper in reaction to a judge’s ruling that the publication had libeled the country’s president.

White space filled most of the front page below the newspaper’s name. A boldface quote at the bottom from author Ayn Rand said, in part, “When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice, you may know that your society is doomed.”
