So far, two companies have shown interest in the concession of the ntural gas field, located in the Gulf of Guayaquil, according to the Ministry of Energy.
The Ministry of Energy has received two expressions of interest in the Amistad Field, which produces natural gas in the Gulf of Guayaquil and is operated by the state oil company Petroecuador.
However, the ministry has announced that Ecuador’s only offshore natural gas field is not in the bidding process for its delegation to private initiative.
