Businesses lose confidence in Ecuador, lowering rating to 92.3 out of a possible 250. Heightened concerns about jump in crime and Ecuador President Rafael Correa’s efforts to strip judiciary of its independence for eighteen months, according to Bloomberg:
Ecuador business confidence fell in January, the first decline in three months, as a jump in crime and proposed tax changes increased executives’ concerns about the economy, Deloitte & Touche LLP said.
